What is Talking Meditation?
Talking meditation is when you intentionally talk out loud to many different parts of yourself. This practice helps you hear your own thoughts and feelings more clearly. It brings your inner world out into the open, helping you find direction, closure, and new understanding.
Talking Meditation is not still or silent.
Talking Meditation is different because it's active and you talk while doing it. Like other kinds of meditation, you don't need any special products to practice Talking Meditation.
How it works
Instead of putting focus on breath or observation, this method helps you face yourself directly.
1. Speak to specific parts of you
Talk out loud to different parts of yourself. This can be your inner child, your critical side, or any other part of your personality.
2. Hear your spoken inner-voice
When you talk, you actually hear your inner words. Listening to yourself helps you understand your thoughts and feelings better.
3. Find direction and closure
By talking to different parts of yourself, you can deal with old problems and make better choices. This way, you can find peace with the past and see new paths for your life.
More questions

No. You can practice using only your imagination. You don't need a product. Products like Space are meant to support your practice but isn't at all necessary.
The name is, but the practice dates back to pre-history. Most spiritual, philosophical, and religious texts mention people spending time alone and talking to themselves-- many as part of an intentional, ritualistic time period. Speaking mantras and other important focused thoughts is found in various forms of meditation. We refer to it as Talking Meditation, as it's intention is meant to create healing, direction, and self-care.
